01、學(xué)校介紹

匹茲堡大學(xué)（University of Pittsburgh）成立于1787年，是歷史悠久的世界頂尖公立研究型大學(xué)，美國著名高等學(xué)府，同時也是美國最早的十所大學(xué)之一。其主校區(qū)位于賓夕法尼亞州第二大城市匹茲堡，與卡耐基梅隆大學(xué)隔街相對，各學(xué)院分布在奧克蘭區(qū)（Oakland），地理位置十分優(yōu)越。匹茲堡大學(xué)是北美頂尖大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)聯(lián)盟美國大學(xué)協(xié)會（AAU）的62所成員校之一，被美國社會譽為“公立常春藤”大學(xué)，其下屬UPMC為全球頂尖醫(yī)學(xué)院之一，在器官移植、神經(jīng)外科學(xué)等領(lǐng)域均處于國際領(lǐng)先地位。校訓(xùn)格言是“真理與美德（Veritas et Virtus）。
